MANILA, Philippines – Susan Roces is hurt over criticisms thrown at her daughter Sen. Grace Poe-Llamanzares.
As a foundling, Poe was adopted by Susan Roces and the late Fernando Poe Jr., a fact that has been repeatedly brought up by some critics after she topped several presidential preference surveys.
On Monday, Poe faced a complaint for misrepresentation filed by defeated 2013 senatorial candidate Rizalito David who filed a case before the Commission on Elections questioning Poe’s citizenship.

“Para yatang hindi maganda. Parang personal na ang ginagawa nilang pambabatikos para lang makapanggulo,” said Susan about the criticisms against her daughter in an interview aired in “TV Patrol” on Tuesday.
Susan also believes her daughter’s experience in politics is different from the ones who have in it for a long time.
“Iba’t iba naman kasi ang eksperyensiya ng tao,” she explained. “May eksperyensiyang mabuti, mayro’n naman eksperyensiyang hindi 'ata kanais-nais at hindi natin maipagmamalaki. So walang makakapagsabi kung sino ang may tamang eksperyensiya.”
The veteran actress admitted that seeing news about her daughter affects her.
“Siyempre may kurot sa aking puso,” she stated.
Despite that, Susan remains firm about not meddling with her daughter’s political plans. Poe still has not announced whether she will join the presidential race in 2016.
