Sharon Cuneta migrating, retiring in 4 to 5 years?

MANILA, Philippines — Sharon Cuneta has hinted about her plans for the next five years.

The Megastar, who is having vacation with her family in United States, shared her sentiments about the direction for her family and career.

"I must admit that every once in a while, I cannot help but imagine living here also someday ... I hope to retire in 4 to 5 years, and here is one of those places that are in my shortlist for 'back-and-forthing'—or living in na talaga someday," she said, referring to US, in her Facebook post on Wednesday.

She even joked about applying for a job in The Filipino Channel, or TFC, which is the international arm of ABS-CBN.

Sharon, wife to Food Security Secretary Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan, said her plans of migrating abroad was due to the turmoil happening in the country, which she believes is threatening the future of her children.

"I love the Philippines but maybe it is always in the back of my head that all this gulo in our country might become scary(-ier) na and I fear for my children's Philippines, their future," she said. "I am, after all, their mother, and my commitment is to take care of them as best I can."

These plans, Sharon says, are not final since she still has high hopes for the country.

"Napakaganda pati ng bansa natin. Sana naman inaalagaan natin, tapos tuwing may pagpalit ng administration, inaalagaan din sana tayo. Nakakapagod na rin minsan ... And nakaka-sad. Well, let's not underestimate the power of prayer!" she concluded.

Sharon is currently a judge in ABS-CBN's evening show “Your Face Sounds Familiar,” hosted by Billy Crawford and airing every Saturday and Sunday, at 8:45 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., respectively.
