Heart sets ‘mini-honeymoon’ with Chiz in Japan

MANILA, Philippines – "I’m very good. I’ve been very happy."

Thus said Heart Evangelista when asked how her life has been as the wife of Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero during the press event of beauty brand Cream Silk on Friday.

The GMA-7 star revealed she and Chiz are set to go to Japan this Holy Week for their “mini-honeymoon.”

“Yun lang siguro yung mini-honeymoon namin kasi we have no time. Pero okay lang 'yan. So 'yun, 'yun lang ang gagawin namin. Kakain kami nang marami; kaming dalawa lang,” Heart told reporters.

Heart and Chiz are yet to go on a full-blown honeymoon since tying the knot last February due to their hectic schedule. However, they were able to go to the island resort Amanpulo in Palawan recently.

Asked what place she looks forward to visiting in Japan, she said: “It would be Ginza kasi mahilig akong mag-shopping. Pero with Chiz there baka hindi ako makatakas.”

She added, “Just going around, we’ll see the cherry blossoms kasi season siya ngayon, so I’m just very excited to take photos.”

Heart revealed she is set to star in a new soap opera this year with Lovi Poe.

“Definitely excited to be working with Lovi because after a year din, hindi rin ako nag-soap. I was busy with a lot of things. Not so much of a big adjustment for me kasi kaibigan ko naman yung makakatrabaho ko. So it’ll be like hanging out, hindi trabaho,” she said.
