Robin Padilla asks Rey Pamaran to forgive Melissa Mendez

MANILA, Philippines - Robin Padilla on Friday asked Rey Pamaran to forgive actress Melissa Mendez and drop his complaint against her.

Pamaran filed a slander complaint against Mendez on Wednesday in connection with their confrontation in a Cebu Pacific flight bound for Pagadian City last March 20. Pamaran, who is also asking P3 million in damages,  alleged that the actress hurt her during the confrontation.

On Friday, Robin posted on his Instagram account a screen shot of the news about Pamaran's filing of his complaint against the actress. In the caption, the actor
asked Pamaran if they could privately settle the issue.

“Hindi po ako nakikialam bagkus ay nakikiusap, naniniwala po ako na kayong dalawa ay marangal na tao at hindi umaatras sa laban, ngunit nagpakumbaba na po si Melissa at humingi na ng paumanhin at patawad. Malinaw na ayaw na po niyang lumaban pa,” he said.

Mendez issued a public apology to Pamaran through her Instagram account.

The Kapatid actor-host also noted that Mendez is already 50 years old with small frame, and not wealthy despite being a celebrity.

“Magkaroon na po ng katapusan ang hindi pagkakaintindihan na ito at magsilbing aral sa lahat ng sumasakay ng eroplano, babae man o lalaki," Robin said. "Ang pagpapatawad po ninyo kay Melissa Mendez ay tatanawing utang na loob ng lupon ng mga Rebolusyonaryong Pangkapayapaan."

Meanwhile, Mendez remained silent after Pamaran filed a complaint against her.

On her Instagram account, Mendez said she was advised not to make any more comments about the issue and also as a show of respect to the prosecutor handling the complaint.
