Story of 2 single moms on MMK

MANILA, Philippines - ABS-CBN’s Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK) tells an inspiring mother-daughter story about unconditional love, forgiveness and motherhood. The upcoming family drama episode will star Ara Mina (left) and Sofia Andres (photo), who will play Bheng and Joy, respectively.

Bheng becomes a single mother to her daughter Joy when her boyfriend refuses to take responsibility for their child. When Joy is older, Bheng is forced to work abroad to make ends meet for her family. She leaves Joy in the care of her grandparents. In the absence of her mother’s guidance, Joy starts exploring her sexuality and ends up getting pregnant.

MMK airs Saturday nights at 7:15.
