The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines – Colegio de San Juan de Letran-Manila’s Institute of Communication has produced award-winning short films from CinemaKnights, the institute’s annual film festival. Among these are plums handed by The Philippine Student Quill Awards, Catholic Mass Media Awards and Metro Manila Film Festival.

CinemaKnights has been an avenue for Senior Communication students to showcase their talents and skills in creating exceptional films. This year, thrust in the spotlight are seven films featuring unique stories about different Filipino ethos, Philippine culture,  Filipino habits and the Filipino way of life.

The seven films are Message Sent, Last 2 Minutes, Sabado, Selda, Lost Plate, Balota Nga and The Cramming.

The Cramming is a short film about two unconventional college students struggling between procrastinating and completing their script as their final requirement for graduation. It is a comedy film about the student’s struggles in beating their deadlines.

The Cramming is written and directed by Clarence Jophiel Sampang and produced by Due Date Pictures.
