Rated K soars in first quarter of 2015
MANILA, Philippines - Rated K continues to soar in the national ratings for the first quarter of 2015. The weekly magazine show hosted by Korina Sanchez-Roxas is currently celebrating its 10th anniversary.
Based on Kantar Media Philippines, Rated K is the most watched Sunday TV program in the country from January 2015 to February 2015. It is also the fifth most watched TV show in the country for February 2015 according to Kantar Media Philippines, with a 24.6 percent viewer share on a weekly basis.
For the past 10 years, Rated K has featured a diverse line-up of stories that mirrors and highlights Filipino culture.
Rated K’s flagship advocacy, the Handog Tsinelas Campaign, continues to give away free rubber slippers to all underprivileged children in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. To date, Korina and Rated K have given away over two million pairs of rubber slippers to children across the country.
In line with the show’s 10th anniversary, Korina is touring the country with her Rated K team in distributing not only rubber slippers to children but also rice and bracelets among mothers in poor barangays. Rated K also partnered with retail giant Puregold for its Handog Tsinelas Campaign. Supporters of Korina’s Handog Tsinelas Campaign may drop off their rubber slipper donations in every Puregold outlet throughout the country.
Korina said, “It is such a blessing that Rated K has stayed on-air this long and maintained its No. 1 status nationwide on its timeslot consistently. With stiff competition on weekends, it is something to be proud of. I owe this to all the staff of the show, the show’s executive producer Stanley Castro and to ABS-CBN management for believing in us all these years. And we owe it to all those small lives and the big news we derive from their generosity in sharing their stories with us. I think charity is a big reason why we’ve stayed so strong, and we intend to help more people. Our Tsinelas Campaign has been overwhelmingly successful, bringing slippers to poor kids. We intend to be even more interactive with our Trending Ngayon segment and letter senders with personal stories.”
Rated K airs Sunday evenings on ABS-CBN after Wansapanataym.
