MANILA, Philippines - Showcasing sneakers as a statement of identity and individuality, Converse recently launched its 2015 Spring Collection that inspires every consumer to be his/her truest self at the White Space Manila, Makati City.
The brand has become a fashion staple for men and women of all ages. It releases new collections season after season. This year, the company brings out the newest All-Star, Cons Sneaker and Apparel, and Jack Purcell.
Converse also named Georgina Wilson as its newest brand ambassador during the event. Georgina joins long-time Converse endorser Kean Cipriano with his band Callalily.
By getting a pair of Chucks, owners get a chance to have a blank canvass just waiting to be filled with their own memories. Attendees showed their personality by donning their favorite pair of chucks. Some celebrities present were Tessa Prieto-Valdez, Emmy-winning producer Mike Carandang, former PBB housemate Jacob Benedicto, model LA Aguinaldo, Abel Estanislao, Julz Savard and designer Ulysses King.
Converse CEO and president Margarita Go, marketing head Kate Oliva and PR expert Chris Cahilig were behind the affair.
The 2015 Spring Collection is inspired by the creative spirit and rich heritage of the Chuck Taylor All Star. The new collection features Lux details, crafted leather, spring-ready floral prints, premium textiles and flag prints that pay tribute to the heritage of the classic Chuck Taylor All Star sneaker. One of the highlights is the launch of Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Andy Warhol collection that celebrates the creative spirit of one of America’s most iconic artists.
Meanwhile, the brand also unveiled the newest Converse CONS sneaker and apparel collections with streetwear-inspired and skateboarding styles designed to deliver comfort, protection and purpose. The collection features sneakers inspired by four of the Converse CONS Skate Ambassadors, including the Converse CONS KA3, the third signature sneaker from Kenny Anderson.
Also another event highlight was the Converse Jack Purcell Signature collection that is meticulously crafted to stay true to the core attributes of the iconic original while delivering 18 new features and benefits, including two-ply duck canvas and a streamlined toecap, revolutionizing the way consumers feel and look in Converse Jack Purcell.
