MANILA, Philippines - Kapuso fans from the north warmly welcomed Empress Schuck, Dion Ignacio, Max Collins, Geoff Eigenmann, Thea Tolentino, Barbie Forteza and Andre Paras who joined the Kapuso Night. Now on its 20th edition, Baguio City’s Panagbenga Festival 2015 carries the theme Across 20 Years, Blossoming Together.
Fans flocked to the Rambakan Drive of SM City Baguio to bond with Barbie and Andre, GMA 7’s hottest love team. The Half Sisters stars displayed undeniable chemistry as they performed in a production number. They also invited their fans to continue patronizing their afternoon soap which is expected to end in May.
In an interview after the show, Andre expressed happiness over the success of The Half Sisters and his team-up with Barbie. “Whatever the network gives me, I’m not choosy, may trust ako sa network. Surprisingly, may tawag na pala sa loveteam namin, tinatawag kaming AnBie. Ganun’ pala pag loveteam. I’m enjoying my work and after taping, I look forward to seeing them (my co-stars) again. Na mi-miss ko sila,” shared Andre.
Apart from her drama series and the growing popularity of her team-up with Andre, Barbie said she feels lucky and grateful to be given other blessings, including her high school diploma which she will receive this month.
Thea, on the other hand, said that she is looking forward to making the show’s audiences hate her even more. “Kahit masakit minsan ang mga scenes namin ni Barbie, at talagang kaiinisan ako, I’m happy because it only means that I’m effective as villain,” shared Thea.
Meanwhile, Kailan Ba Tama Ang Mali? stars Max, Geoff and Dion thanked the fans for the warm welcome. Through the regional shows, Max said they are able to interact with their supporters and thank them personally. “It’s nice to see everyone smiling and happy pag nakikita nila kami, and on our part, it’s our way of saying thank you to the people watching our show.”
Empress couldn’t contain her happiness that she is back with the Kapuso Network. “Walang pressure at kung ano man yung binibigay nila sa akin ay tinatanggap ko naman ng maluwag. Sa ngayon, happy talaga ako at nakakasama ako sa mga regional shows tulad ng Panagbenga. This is our fourth promotional tour,” she shared.
The Panagbenga Kapuso Night was hosted by Ate Reg. Highlights of GMA 7’s participation in the festival will be seen in the Let’s Fiesta TV Special, which airs on March 15 via GMA Network’s regional stations in Cebu, Bicol, Davao, Iloilo, Dagupan, Ilocos, General Santos City, Bacolod and Cagayan de Oro City.
