MANILA, Philippines – Seeing girls’ frantic reaction to Maroon 5’s frontman isn’t really surprising, but seeing a 10-year-old boy do the same is a different case.
Christopher Warner, a youngster with down syndrome from Maryland , made the singer a fan video to show how much he adores Adam Levine.
The video was posted by Warner's school teacher and the description of the video says:
I am a special education teacher and Christopher is one of my students. He is an amazing boy who is just like any 10 year old with an interest in pop culture. He loves listening to Maroon 5. For his informational writing project, he chose to make a poster about the band. Every day, he works to earn breaks to listen to his favorite Maroon 5 songs. I told him we could make a movie so he could let Adam Levine know about his #1 fan. This was a collaborative effort from me, my co-worker Jay Hackett, and Christopher's mother.
A radio station in the US noticed the video and arranged a backstage meet up between Warner and Maroon 5 after the band’s gig at the Verizon Center in Washington D.C.
During the meet up, the boy did not handle the excitement well and had a panic attack upon seeing Levine. What the band did to calm the boy was the sweetest thing ever.
Warner had to lay down the floor to appease his panic attack. So Levine did the same and the rest of the band followed suit.
