Sexy Talk with Mark Neumann

When Mark Neumann graduated from the TV5 talent search Artista Academy three years ago, he was asked if he was ready to throw himself into the lion’s den that is showbiz and he said, “Yes, I am.”

Half-German and half-Filipino, Mark is turning 21 on Aug. 23 (Leo). He was educated in England where he was born and raised, with a degree in Travel and Tourism. 

Like most newcomers, Mark has passed the “initiation” of being subjected to unsavory rumors (mostly baseless) — a toyboy of a rich gay. He did work in a bar not as a dancer but as a waiter.

“It’s true that you cannot please everybody,” said Mark . “You just have to know how to take it in stride, not be distracted from what you are doing. Also, do your best but don’t expect too much, otherwise you will be putting undue pressure on yourself.”

Besides strengthening his character, Artista Academy has made Mark more confident.

“I used to be shy,” he confessed, “but now I am more comfortable not only in front of the camera but among people. I still get nervous but I now enjoy performing in the spotlight; I have learned to enjoy the applause.”

Describing himself as “determined and happy,” Mark has yet to get a bigger break than he has lately been getting. He has done several shows on the Kapatid Network such as Lokomoko, Kidlat, Madame Chairman, Tropalokomokounli, Wattpad Presents, Mr. Popular Meets Miss Nobody, I’m In Love With a Dota Player and the telemovie The Lady Next Door (with Alice Dixson). He is currently in TropaMokoUnlispoof and will soon be seen in a Wattpad Presents episode to be shot in Hong Kong.
