MANILA, Philippines - International singer Madonna calls for equal treatment and acceptance of women regardless of their age.
On Thursday, Rolling Stone posted a video where the 56-year-old performer said living in a “very sexist society” made some people “discriminate” women because of their age.
“Women, generally, when they reach a certain age have accepted that they're not allowed to behave a certain way,” she said.
She, however, said that she never followed the society's ways and wanted “to be the person who opens the doors for women to believe and understand and embrace the idea that they can be sexual, and look good, and be as relevant in their fifties, or sixties or [in] whatever [age they may be].”
