MANILA, Philippines - Former actress now Laguna board member Angelica Jones Alarva (photo) was recently inducted as the charter president of the all-female organization Junior Chamber International (JCI) Hijas de San Pablo at the Aurevelle Grand Resort in San Pablo City. Among the special guests were Sen. JV Ejercito, 1998 JCI Philippines (JCIP) national president; Laguna Gov. Ramil Hernandez; JCIP Southern Luzon area VP — JCI senator Vincent Lobrigo; and the JCIP regional VP for Laguna Ma. Anne Celicious.
The event was attended by other JCI chapter presidents and national officers as well as National Movement of Young Legislators (NMYL) led by its president Laguna councilor Laarni Malibiran (Angelica is regional president of the NMYL Calabarzon).
The other JCI Hijas de San Pablo officers inducted were EVP Karla Adajar, VP-Internal Affairs Leren Mae Bautista, VP-External Affairs Leslie Lu, secretary Lyka Alarva, treasurer Evelyn Sotoya, P.R.O. Marielle Tolosa, plus the board of directors — Ella Angeles, Camille Concordia, Cher Cus, Dr. Vinci Ann Kampitan, Kristine Villanueva, Nina Rada, Carla Angela Concordia, Nika Aytona, Geraldie Balaaldia, Raquel Mendoza and San Pablo City first lady Madette Amante.
