Aicelle’s birthday concert Feb. 25

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Celebrating her life and passion as a performer, GMA Artist Center’s power belter Aicelle Santos (photo) will be having her birthday concert, Class A: Aicelle Santos in Concert at the Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) theater on Feb. 25.

After being hailed as Aliw Awards’ Best Actress for a Musical last year, Aicelle is set to bring another performance worth acclaiming for. Winning the award for Rak of Aegis, Aicelle played the role of Aileen, a promodizer who is caught between finding true love and reaching her dreams. She was able to dazzle and make the audience laugh through her comedic, yet heartfelt rendition of Aegis’ top hits. Now, her fans should expect to see this side of her and know more of her identity as an artist at the concert.

“What I do is I try to sing every day and learn my songs thoroughly while doing promos for the concert. I want to show in my concert what I can do as a performer,” says Aicelle.

Aicelle was the first runner-up in the second season of GMA 7’s Pinoy Pop Superstar in 2005, and it led her way to multiple opportunities as a solo artist. Since then, she was able to showcase her prowess as a singer through tours, gigs, concerts, as well as the world of theater.

She will be performing alongside surprise guests who have been very essential and supportive to her growth as an artist. She makes sure that each song number is refined to the taste of her audience.
