Andi Eigenmann on daughter's DNA test: I don't owe any explanation
MANILA, Philippines — Andi Eigenmann said she does not owe the public answers on the unnamed father of her three-year-old daughter.
“I don't owe anyone any explanation. Okay ng kaming dalawa [ni Ellie], wala naman na akong hinhingi pa,” Andi said in an interview on Tuesday during the premiere of Jackie Chan's film “Dragon Blade.”
“'Yong mga taong nagsasabi na sila na mag-sponsor ng DNA test, ano bang pakialam n'yo, 'di ba? It's my life and wala kayong alam. Specially doon sa mga taong wala naman talagang alam, 'wag n'yo nang pilitin pa. Kasi I don't owe them any explanation, hindi naman sila kasali,” she added.
Recently, Albie Casiño reiterated that he's not the father of Andi's daughter, and even added that they have evidence to prove this.
Although she's very firm on keeping private the details about her daughter’s father, Andi admits she's hurt by people's judgments. Yet she tries to be understanding of the situation.
“Naiintindihan ko naman na parte siya ng trabaho ko,” she explained. “Siyempre normal na pag-usapan ako ng mga tao, alamin kung anuman ang gusto nilang malaman sa buhay ko. So parang as much as I'm very open and honest, may hangganan lang din kung ano ang kaya kong ibahagi sa mga tao.”
With all that has happened and happening in her life, Andi said getting in a relationship is not her priority this year.
“I learned from the past already, na noong binuhos ko 'yong buong-buo ko it really didn't work quite well for me. So 'yong nakalimutan ko [noon], na dapat magtitira ka pa rin ng para sa sarili mo,” she explained.
“So I wish mas suwertihin ako sa career more than sa love life, that's my priority. Not because wala na ko pakialam sa love life ko, but because mas priority ko ang career ko,” she added.
She's currently working on the film “Your Place or Mine,” together with Bret Jackson, under Viva Films.
