Kathryn Bernardo on Daniel Padilla’s weight: Mas cute siya nang ganyan

MANILA, Philippines- After the release of the “Crazy Beautiful You” teaser photos, many have noticed that Daniel Padilla bulked up a bit.

The “Teen King” said he has gained a bit of weight.

“Mas okay na medyo may laman, kaysa noon mukha kong butiki,” he joked during the press conference of “Crazy Beautiful You” on Thursday.

He liked it more since her leading lady Kathryn Bernardo said she likes him better that way.

“Hindi naman kapag sinabi mong sexy ang tao, may abs. Nasa ano ‘yon, sa pagdadala [ng sarili]. Parang mas cute siya na ganyan,” Kathryn said.

Meanwhile, the two haven’t thought yet how they’ll celebrate Valentine’s Day since they’re still in the post-production of their film. So they plan to celebrate it after their films hit the cinemas on February 25.

Kathryn also said that going out with Daniel is not a problem with her mother. “Usually kung hindi man siya kasama, mayro’n isang nagbabantay sa amin,” she said.

Meanwhile, in the Star Cinema film “Crazy Beautiful You,” there’s a bit of switch in the characters that Daniel and Kathryn portray. Usually it was the Daniel who does the bad boy character, but this time it is Kathryn who’ll portray the rebellious character.

“Nakaka-challenge siya gawin, and nakakatuwa siya gawin. Kasi parati ang role ko ako ‘yong mabait na anak, okay rin na gumawa ng something new,” Kathryn said about her role.

“Tsaka na-excite rin ako nang sinabi sa akin ‘to no’ng story con namin, sabi ko, ‘gosh, ang tagal ko ‘tong hinintay.’ Tapos nang ginagawa namin siya na-enjoy ko siya,” she added.

Joining the “Teen King and Queen” are Lorna Tolentino, Gabby Concepcion, and Iñigo Pascual, and directed by Mae Cruz-Alviar.
