MANILA, Philippines - Microtel by Wyndham in the Philippines starts the year with consecutive honors from Tripadvisor.com, the world’s largest travel site. Receiving the 2015 Traveler’s Choice award in two categories are Microtel by Wyndham Batangas and Microtel by Wyndham Puerto Princesa. The elite honor, according to the website, is awarded to the Top one percent of all hotels on Tripadvisor, based on reviews and opinions from millions of travelers.

Tomas, Batangas, enjoys a healthy influx of guests because of its proximity to the industrial zone, historical sites and leisure destinations in the province. These — as one Tripadvisor.com reviewer put its — make Microtel “the best place to stay” in the area. The hotel received the Traveler’s Choice award this year for its value-priced accommodations, earning high ratings from site reviewers.

Reviewers also took notice of Microtel Puerto Princesa in Palawan, the only beachfront hotel in the city, for its unique resort appeal, picture-perfect surroundings, and bevy of available water sport activities with families and travel groups in mind.
