MANILA, Philippines — Gelli de Belen is thankful for the trust TV5 has given her over the past four years she has been working for the network.
"Thankful [ako] for the opportunity to host a program that is actually interesting and helpful," Gelli said in an interview on Wednesday.
Since she moved to the Kapatid network in 2011, Gelli has been part of its key programs like in drama series "Glamorosa," "Nandito Ako," and "Confession of a Torpe." She has also hosted several shows like "Game N’ Go," "Face the People," and now "Solved na Solved" with Arnell Ignacio and lawyer Mel Sta. Maria.

The actress-host admits some people ask her why she remains with the Kapatid network. She would, however, tell herself that the "challenge and opportunities" given to her by the network helps her grow as an artist.
"While I was happy with my other stations, kaya lang, parang dito, I got to try a lot of things," she explained.
I have been given a lot of opportunities that I have never done before. I am challenged. My creativity and my talent bilang isang host ay natsa-challenge, so natutuwa ako.
Now that she's hosting another public service show, Gelli she still get to learn new things since "nagkakaro'n ako ng awareness sa mga rights ko bilang isang Pilipino," which their show gets to share with the viewers.
One example is their episode about stalking, which will air on February 10. Here they discussed various ways one could stalk another—from as simple as using Facebook to more elaborate schemes. They also discussed penalties in case one goes overboard and affect the the life of the stalking subject.
