MANILA, Philippines - Noel Cabangon is one of the personalities who was privileged to meet Pope Francis during his visit here in the Philippines last week.
He was invited by the Palace to attend the Pope's courtesy visit on January 16.
"Iba, iba talaga, e," he said, describing seeing the pope in an interview on Wednesday. "Titignan mo lang siyang gano'n, nagsasalita siya, mangingilid talaga luha mo, e. Iba, iba ang experience."
Cabangon was so inspired by the Pope's visit that he will be working on an album which will be an "expression of what the pope has been telling us. We should always sing for the poor, sing of their struggles, we have to talk about their lives."
The album will be named "Acoustic Prayers."
Aside from the album, Cabangon will continue to work on his advocacies to strengthen the music industry.
He's also starting to plan the activities for the Buwan ng Musikang Pilipino celebration on July. Some of the plans include forums and concerts around the country, and another year for the PhilPop competition.
