Kravitz’s Strut concert in Manila set for March 24
MANILA, Philippines - After decades of dishing out chart-topping rock/R&B ditties and reaping numerous music awards, American artist Lenny Kravitz (photo) is finally heading to the Philippines this year, courtesy of Midas Promotions. The four-time Grammy award-winner, with more than 38 million albums sold worldwide to his credit, is set to bring his Strut world tour to Manila on March 24 at the Globe Circuit Events Ground, Makati City.
Kravitz’s 20-year musical career has successfully transcended genre, style, race and class, regarding him as one of the preeminent rock musicians of our time. Known for his gritty rock vocals with a Motown funk vibe, the American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer achieved mainstream success in 1991 with his second studio album, Mama Said. Its sultry carrier track It Ain’t Over ‘Til It’s Over is Kravitz’s most successful single to date, peaking at No. 2 on the US Billboard Hot 100 charts soon after its release.
His third studio album, 1993’s Are You Gonna Go My Way, spawned infectious radio hits such as the groove ballad Heaven Help and the electric guitar-heavy title track.
Kravitz’s 10th studio album titled Strut was released under his own Roxie Records in 2014, offering up singles The Chamber, Sex and New York City.
