MANILA, Philippines - Kuh Ledesma kicks off 2015 with a bang via a much-awaited reunion concert with the Music & Magic on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, at The Theatre, Solaire Resort and Casino’s state-of-the-art performance venue with a capacity of 1,760.
Dubbed The Music of the Heart, The Magic of Love, the Valentine’s Day show rekindles the heyday of the legendary showband known for its one-of-a-kind cover versions of chart-topping hits of the ’60s, ’70s and early ’80s, all dolled up in the era’s flamboyant outfits and spiced up even more by their livewire choreography and groove-inducing dance routines.
Among Music & Magic’s original roster are Kuh, Jet Montelibano, Fe delos Reyes, Eva Caparas, Angeli Pangilinan-Valenciano, Toto Gentica, Hector Pedero, Butch Elizalde and Nonoy Mendoza. Second-generation members include Bobby Taylo, Vicky Sevilla-Pangilinan and Jeannete Casuga-Trevias.
Thirty-five years after Music & Magic took Manila and Asia by storm, Kuh has metamorphosed into one of the industry’s most enduring and iconic divas while other members continued their respective careers as frontline performers, solo acts, musicians, music impresarios, music producers and entertainment managers with one element binding all of the members together — their common love and passion for the craft of music.
Still bursting with youthful vigor and radiance, Kuh has received countless awards and citations and filled up venues here and abroad. She recently concluded her very successful second one-woman painting exhibit. She is enjoying a reinvention with her new TV acting career. She was part of the highly-acclaimed soap opera My Husband’s Lover.
This year, Kuh also officially celebrates her 35th year in showbiz with a year-long calendar of activities that showcases her artistic gifts, divine inspirations and advocacies. Aside from her regular concerts, painting exhibits and TV appearances, Kuh also hopes to come up with a book before the year-end.
Today, the gang is back together for a fresh new serving of music and magic. After a well-received reunion gig at the PICC last year, OPM fans have been clamoring for a repeat of the reunion.
Valentine’s Day becomes even more meaningful as Music & Magic’s loyal fans look forward to an evening of beautiful music and a lot of fun as the band reprises its legendary repertoire, comprised of the greatest dance hits, party anthems and power ballads of the ’60s, ’70s and early ’80s, as well as their fresh take on current hits such as John Legend’s All of Me, Pharrell Williams’ Happy and Let It Go, from the hit movie Frozen.
Kuh is managed by ALV Talent Circuit.
