MANILA, Philippines - GMA-7 actress Wynwyn Marquez is one of the beauty queen hopefuls for 2015 Binibining Pilipinas.
Wynwyn, whose real name is Teresite Sen Marquez, made it as one of the 34 official candidates of the said beauty pageant.
She is the daughter of showbiz personalities Joey Marquez and Alma Moreno.
Before the final screening of candidates of the Bb. Pilipinas 2015 on Saturday, Wynwyn tweeted: “I’ll consider this the wildest decision I ever made. Kung ano man mangyari, atleast I tried. let's all be positive about today!”

“I will surely miss dancing sa Sunday All Stars (GMA-7‘s Sunday variety show) stage. Sobrang mamimiss ko ang SAS family ko. Sobrang salamat sa supporta niyo sa akin,” she tweeted.
Wynwyn has been vocal about her interest to become a beauty queen in previous interviews.
“Since I was a kid, iyon talaga ang gusto ko," she told Philstar.com and other entertainment reporters last year. "
Wynwyn added in the interview last year: "May pressure pero confident naman ako na kaya ko. The fact na kung masali ako sa pageant, feeling ko winner na ako. Iyon talaga ang dream ko. Kapag nanalo pa ako, bonus na lang iyon."
Other contestants for the 2015 Bb. Pilipinas pageant include local beauty pageant veterans as such Pia Wurtzbach, who was a favorite in last year’s pageant, and Bb. Pilipinas 2014 2nd runner up Hannah Ruth Sison.
Bb. Pilipinas is the local beauty pageant that is responsible for choosing the country’s official candidates for the Miss Universe, Miss International, Miss Supranational, Miss Intercontinental and Miss Tourism international pageants.
