Jairus Aquino plays physically-challenged teen in MMK

MANILA, Philippines - Jairus Aquino (photo) will inspire young viewers to strive hard for their dreams in tomorrow’s episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK) on ABS-CBN.

Jairus will portray the character of Andre who has always lived life happily despite having difficulty walking because of a rare muscle disease called Muscular Dystrophy. Andre grew up to be an optimistic student, and his father Rodolfo (Dominic Ochoa), was always at his side to lift his spirits up with constant love and encouragement.

How will Andre deal with life’s challenges when his ultimate source of strength, his father, suddenly leaves his side? Will he succumb to hopelessness, or will he continue to reach for the dreams that his father envisioned for him?

Also in the episode are Lara Quigaman, Eliza Pineda, Angelo Ilagan and JB Agustin. The episode is directed by Raz de la Torre and written by Mary Rose Colindres. MMK is led by business unit head Malou Santos and creative manager Mel Mendoza-del Rosario.
