The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Just got a letter from Cynthia Ugalde, 1962 Miss Philippines who represented the country in that year’s Miss International pageant. Cynthia relayed the sad news that Dr. Oscar Pelaez Tan (inset), her husband of 49 years, died at age 76 of cardiac arrest due to complications in October last year in Ormoc City where the family is living permanently after many years in the US. Photo shows Cynthia with daughter Camille and son Omar, with daughter-in-law Natasha.
