MANILA, Philippines - Danica Sotto-Pingris said her father Vic Sotto hasn't mentioned to them that he's planning to enter politics amid reports saying that Vic plans to run for a position in Quezon City.
In an interview with philstar.com on Wednesday, Danica said she would support her father in case he'll pursue politics, which she hopes he doesn't.
“I'll support him.
Meanwhile, Danica opened up about her marriage with Marc Pingris and on how they raise their two children Jean Michael and Anielle Micaela.
The actress-host said a good communication and a God-centered relationship help strengthen their marriage.
“Siguro communication. I mean it's a cliché but it's true,” she replied when asked about the secret of their marriage. “Of course unang-una may takot kami sa Panginoon.
She's also happy with the new discoveries she gets from Marc, especially that he grew up in the province while she's raised in the city with both parents in showbiz.
She learned to to appreciate the “simple joys” of life, realizing that “hindi mo naman pala kailangan ng sobrang pagarbo para mapasaya sila.
When it comes to raising their kids, Danica said they're both disciplinarians. Yet if there are life lessons from her parents that she wants to pass on to her kids, it's professionalism and being real to themselves.
She learned from her parents that even if they're living a life scrutinized by the public “magkaro'n ka na normal ka pa rin.
Danica will be hosting TV5's 30-minute morning show “Happy Wife, Happy Life,” with other PBA player wives and partner LJ Moreno-Alapag, RR Enriquez, and Jeck Maierhofer. It' will air on January 19, Monday to Friday 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
