My Puhunan features Pinoy entrepreneurs in Hong Kong
MANILA, Philippines - Karen Davila goes to Hong Kong to get to know two overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who had lived a life of poverty before becoming successful businessmen overseas on ABS-CBN’s My Puhunan.
Know more about the success stories of Manny Portugal and Jun Paragas today at 4:30 p.m. as they share with viewers lessons on saving money and investing.
Manny went to Hong Kong in 1991 and first worked as a waiter when he was only 17. Even when he was juggling different jobs, Manny saved up money in hopes of putting up his own business. Now he already owns Backstage Productions, a lights and sounds company that services big events in Hong Kong.
Jun, meanwhile, started out as a staff member in a balikbayan box company. But what catapulted him to success was his golden voice. He was given his big break when he was hired as a radio host and soon became popular via the program Lovingly Yours, Tita Kerry.
However, Jun is not only a radio personality in Hong Kong, but also a businessman who owns a one-stop shop in a mall that caters to OFWs.
