Vilma Santos misses showbiz

MANILA, Philippines — Batangas Gov. Vilma Santos-Recto hopes to do a film this year.

"I miss showbiz talaga," Vilma admitted in an interview with Lhar Santiago aired in "24 Oras" on Friday.

The "Star for All Seasons" hopes that within 2015, she can do "a mainstream or maybe an indie [film] again."

Last year, she starred in the independent film "Ekstra" which gained recognition internationally.

Although Vilma has not yet decided on the kind of film to work on this year, it was his son Luis Manzano who confirmed last year she would be starring with his girlfriend, Angel Locsin, in a Star Cinema film.

According to reports, Angel has already seen the script, yet there were slight changes in the time table, delaying the start of the film's production proper.
