Mga halu-halong hula-hula 2015

The Year of the Sheep is two days young. And as tradition is hard to break, Funfare is up with its annual “halu-halong hula-hula” for the 2015. Modesty aside, this corner’s batting average through the past four decades (yes, your “fortune-teller” has long been doing it) is good — and, believe it or not, your Funfarer doesn’t even have to consult a crystal ball or the tarot cards.

Here we go…

First, the “blind items”:

• Unless a senior actress learned to tone down publicizing her love affair(s) on social media, her relationship with a guy young enough to be her eldest son might end up in the rocks like her previous ones. Too much (pampering, etc.) of anything is toxic, isn’t it?
• The wedding of a couple who announced their engagement in 2014 will either not be pushed through or will be postponed indefinitely.
• A couple will break up but won’t say why while another couple might reconcile after letting bygones (harsh words, etc.) be bygones.
• After Ara Mina who gave birth to her and boyfriend Bulakan (Bulacan) Mayor Patrick Meneses, it will be the turn of her sister Cristine Reyes to, as everybody knows, expect the stork’s visit. What showbiz-watchers perhaps don’t know is that Actress M is also set to deliver her love child by a non-showbiz guy.
• Even if most of the people close to her don’t seem to be happy with the relationship, a senior actress will stick to her new love for better or for worse, savoring her second-time-around without looking back. Love defies all odds.
• The changing-network game will continue among stars and a network will undergo a revamp.
• A young actor will find himself in a headline-hogging controversy.
•  An actor will out himself, while the “romance” between two singers (male and female, of course) will be exposed to be fake (a “cover-up”).
• Unlike in previous elections, very, very few actors will dare run…blame it on  the scrapped “pork”?
• An award-winning actress will be hounded by setbacks in her career.

And now, the “wide-awake” items:

•  Kris Aquino will (finally, finally!) find a new love who may not be from showbiz.
• Towards the end of the year, newly-wed Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes will happily announce that they are having a baby (advance congratulations!). Will Karylle and Yael Yuzon do the same?
• More Filipino indie films will win awards in international film festivals.
• Great prospects for KathNiel and new love teams Miguel Tanfelix and Bianca Umali, Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano, James Reid and Nadine Lustre, Barbie Forteza and Andre Paras, and Elmo Magalona and Janine Gutierrez.
• Sen. Grace Poe will make a final decision (to run or not to run for a higher position in 2016) middle of this year.
• Tom Rodriguez and Carla Abellana will reveal what their true relationship is.
• Ruffa Gutierrez will succumb to pressure from her protective mom Annabelle Rama and split from her foreigner boyfriend.
• Great news: Despite financial constraints, Cinemalaya will go on as usual.
• Charo Santos-Concio will not retire as head of ABS-CBN and will be prevailed upon to continue with her good work.
• Dingdong Dantes and/or Ogie Alcasid, who are close to Pres. Noynoy Aquino (billed as “Witness of Honor” at Dingdong and Marian’s wedding), might be drafted as administration candidates (for what position?) in 2016.
