MANILA, Philippines - The Filipino Pop Tenors will perform a unique collection of classical, Broadway, pop and kundiman songs as the group ushers in the New Year via the Concert at the Park on Jan. 4, 2015.
The group has been making waves here and abroad for takes on classic songs. Concert at the Park is held every Sunday at 6 p.m. at the Open-Air Auditorium, Rizal Park, Manila.
The Filipino Pop Tenors, whose head is theater and film-TV actor Miguel Castro turned pop classical singer, will be seen next at Paco Park Presents on Feb. 20.
In forming the group, Miguel thought of ingesting classical music into pop music environment by assembling a group of soloists who joined forces to create a sound uniquely theirs, the pop classical.
The Filipino Pop Tenors pool of artists is composed of Miguel, Serafin Murillo, Adrian Lachica, Ya-el Viteno, Rhenwyn Gabalonzo.
