MANILA, Philippines - It was a busy Christmas season for Jake Cuenca who has been occupied with his upcoming TV series “Pasion de Amor.”
He said, however, that he's happy to finally spend time with his family on Christmas day, whom he missed while he was in New York.
He was there for a short acting course and immediately started taping for the remake of the Columbian telenovela, where he stars with Joseph Marco, Ejay Falcon, Ellen Adarna, Coleen Garcia, Ingrid dela Paz and Arci Muñoz.
“It'll air sometime next year. I can't give the definite date kasi bawal pa,” he said about the project. “But we're taping it and in the process of showing it some time next year.”
The Kapamilya actor promised his fans to see a different Jake from the one they've seen in his recently concluded show “Ikaw Lamang.”
“First of all hindi ako kontra bida dito, ako naman 'yong mabait,” he related about his role.
Jake also thanked his home network, ABS-CBN, for being considerate of his career plans.
“I just want to thank ABS-CBN for giving me all of these opportunities and [for] always giving me projects that I feel like doing. If I want to be the bad guy they give it to me, if gusto ko mag-bida binibigay nila sa akin,” he said.
