Adam Sandler named 'most overpaid actor' anew

MANILA, Philippines - Adam Sandler was named the most overpaid actor in Hollywood by Forbes for two consecutive years.

Forbes Magazine said in a recent report that Sandler earned more than what his films this year have gained.

“We looked at the last three movies of the biggest stars in Hollywood and calculated what they were paid and what the movies earned to come up with what is essentially a return on investment number for each star. We estimate that for every $1 Sandler was paid, he returned an average of $3.20,” the report, published Tuesday, said.

Forbes came up of the list based on their Celebrity 100 list, and had a look on the last three films – animations and cameo roles not included – that celebrities did before June 2014 which is the cutoff for their Celebrity 100 list.

They then looked at the budget and revenue of each films through different sources, added the “total compensation for each star on the three movies and the operating income from each movie, and then divide to come up with the final return on investment number.”
