MANILA, Philippines — Christopher de Leon is happy to announce that his son is getting better and recovering from his sickness.
The couple flew to the United States in August to accompany Miguel who had testicular cancer, and asked for the public’s prayer for the recovery of their son.
“He’s good, he’s recovering. He’s better now,” Christopher said in an interview on Thursday. “He’s going through a lot of test treatments and it’s good, the doctor said all the radical cells are gone. So we’re very happy about that. But there’re some more tests that we had to do.”
The actor just got back from San Francisco for the press conference and a day of shooting for the film “Tragic Theater,” to be shownin cinemas on January 8.
Reports said, meanwhile, that Christopher's wife, Sandy, who is still in the US, was hospitalized. Confirming the reports, he said she’s scheduled to undergo some treatments by March, although he is not sure of the other details.
Christopher’s family holds on to their faith amid all these trials in their life.
"The faith, it’s more of the faith is stronger, you try to make it stronger," he said. "You’re more prayerful now. I used to say na we pray unceasingly, for a couple of years I forgot about that. Now I’m here praying unceasingly."
Moreover, their family has been health conscious and careful with what they eat, Christopher said.
