James Reid denies dating Kim Chiu's younger sister

MANILA, Philippines - James Reid has denied that he is dating Kim Chiu's sister Wendolyn.

A photo of James and Wendolyn recently circulated on social media, sparking rumors that they the two young stars are dating.

“We've met a couple of times, we know each other,” James replied when asked about Wendolyn in an interview on “Bandila” on Monday night

The actor added that he met Wendolyn through their common friend, Andi Eigenmann.

When asked about his text message exchange with Wendolyn, who allegedly posted a screen capture of their conversation on her Facebook account, James simply replied that “I'm just being friendly.”

James had just broken up with her three-year girlfriend singer Erika Villongco. The two former sweethearts haven't talked since their breakup last March, but James said he still wanted to be friends with Erika.

James said that setting aside love life, he is more focused on his career. He is currently working on his next film, “Para sa Hopeless Romantic,” with Nadine Lustre, Iñigo Pascual, Julia Barretto, Shy Carlos, and AJ Muhlach.
