Miss World Pageant 2014 airing on GMA

MANILA, Philippines - Tomorrow, Dec. 15, starting at 9:30 a.m., feast your eyes with breathtaking beauty, fantastic fashion and spectacular performances as GMA 7 airs the grand finale of Miss World 2014 to be held at London’s Excel.

The 124 candidates embraced the Christmas Spirit in a city famed for its seasonal celebrations. Throughout their stay, the candidates visited historic venues, attended an array of festive events and competed in a variety of sub-contests.

All set to give pride to the Philippines is Valerie Weigmann who is currently in the Top 10 for Beauty with a Purpose and People’s Choice portions of the pageant.

A crowd favorite during the local pageant search and segment host on GMA’s noontime show Eat, Bulaga!, Valerie may prove to be a strong contender for the Miss World crown and possibly do a back-to-back win for the Philippines.

Also participating in the event is Philippines’ very own Miss World 2013 Megan Young who has been an impressive ambassador of goodwill and is in fact one of the longest reigning MissWorld titleholders.
