Contenders from Visayas set for Bet ng Bayan semi-finals

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Witness outstanding performances on GMA 7’s Bet ng Bayan (BNB) as the contenders from Visayas show off their talents for the semi-finals showdown hosted by Regine Velasquez-Alcasid and Alden Richards.

After an intense battle between the Luzon semi-finalists last Sunday, judges Louie Ocampo, Kuh Ledesma and Christian Bautista finally determined who will be the representatives from Luzon for the grand finals of BNB: Renz Robosa (Bet sa Kantahan), UNEP Dance Club (Bet sa Sayawan) and Jason Sobremonte (Bet sa Kakaibang Talento).

Now that the team of Luzon for the grand finals is complete, it is time to make way for the performances of the contenders from Visayas.

For Bet sa Kantahan, is it going to be Ma. Hannah Precillas of Bohol or Alma Mae Sumagaysay of Iloilo? They both get their inspirations from their fathers who passed away, but whose voice will conquer the stage?

The dance floor will heat up for Bet sa Sayawan segment as Don Juan goes head to head with rival Capa-DS. Coming all the way from Cebu City, Don Juan members were able to form through their high school dance troupe. Meanwhile, despite the rivalry on various competitions of Capa-DS members Karen and Michael, their coach was able to unite them to join BNB.

The Karinyoso Boys, the pride of Dumaguete City, are all set to prove their talent and be named as the Bet sa Kakaibang Talento. They became popular for the funny antics that they incorporate into their dance routines. Is their preparation going to be enough to beat the veteran performer Gerard Caigoy, also known as Master of Pain?

Bet ng Bayan airs Sunday nights after Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, plus updates with Alden from Mondays to Fridays (at 10:05 to 10:20 p.m.).
