MANILA, Philippines - Andre Paras described 2014 as fun and exciting as this is the year that he made his debut in showbiz through the film “Diary ng Panget.”
Following his success in the film, GMA included him in the afternoon drama series “Half Sisters.”
Aside from his acting career, Andre is also one of the newest MTV Philippines VJ while he pursues his studies and plays in San Beda's Red Lion basketball team.
With his plate full, even the 19-year-old actor-host-athlete doesn’t know how he is able to juggle his time. He said he makes sure that his studies come first.
Andre may be busy, but he said that he never lose communication with his family and friends, especially now that his brother Kobe is studying abroad.
He said his family is his inspiration and he dedicates all his success to them. “I do it for them and just seeing them smile and being happy makes me work harder,” he said.
As he grows famous, Andre becomes and idol among the youth. He is currently an endorser of Globe Telecom's prepaid service, and he wants to remind the youth to use different social networking sites responsibly.
“Social media is your own world to speak up and have people hear you out,” he said. “You can make photos to inspire people or make videos to turn someone's day upside down. It's all about your own style and your own definition of fun.”
And if someone bashes you online, “you can always block and delete [them]."
