MANILA, Philippines - Here’s one for the Christmas shopper who wants to make a difference. The first Style Setters garage sale is on. Find modern and antique furniture, silverware, Persian carpets, Chinese porcelain, home and fashion accessories, designer clothes, shoes and bags from the personal collections of some of the country’s most discriminating personalities from fashion, beauty, broadcast, furniture and entertainment.
Participants in the event are Pepito Albert, Korina Sanchez, Margarita Fores, Inno Sotto, Patrick Rosas, Kaye Tinga, Ian Giron, Agnes Desiderio, Alice Eduardo, Tim Yap, Cris Albert, Divine Lee, Tessa Prieto-Valdes, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Mark Wilson and more.
The sale was originally scheduled for an earlier date but, due to the threat of Typhoon Ruby, was postponed, temporarily. The sale is for the benefit of the Handog Tsinelas Campaign that gives new pairs of rubber slippers to indigent children nationwide. The target for the year is one million pairs by end of December 2014. Part of the proceeds will also be given to the victims of the recent Typhoon Ruby in the Visayas.
