9TV wins 6 Araw Values Awards

MANILA, Philippines - 9TV received six awards at the 2014 Araw Values Awards held last Nov. 20 at the Dolphy Theater of ABS-CBN Studios. The Araw Values Awards is a biennial values-focused and advocacy-oriented award that gives value to advertising creativity with social awareness. It rewards creative output that incorporates any of the seven Araw Cornerstone Values in its execution. It is considered to be one of the most prestigious awards in the Philippines.

9TV took home two Silver ARAW Awards: One for The Story of the Filipino: Hernando Guanlao, a two-minute documentary that features Hernando Guanlao, whose belief in traditional reading allowed him to keep alive in his home a space for the sharing, borrowing and storing of books. The other Silver was for The Story of the Filipino: Jaime Mayor, about the carriage-driver and his well-known act of returning a wallet containing 4,000 euros to a French tourist.

9TV also took home four Bronze ARAW Awards. One was for Revisited: Rizal Day, which provides another perspective on stories about our country’s history or culture. The other three bronze awards were for Law at Work: Adoption, Law at Work: Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children (VAWC), and Law at Work: Annulment; all three discussed legal issues related to family affairs.

According to Kayen Zialcita, SVP for brand development and marketing, the  recognition motivates the company to further provide in-depth stories and news that inform and inspire.
