Sarah G. sings The Glow in the Disney video

MANILA, Philippines - CONFIRMED: Disney Channel has commissioned Sarah Geronimo (photo) to be a part of a music video for the channel called The Glow.

The video, which is an initiative across all the Southeast Asian markets, also involves celebrities from the other markets, and Sarah will be presenting the English language version.

The Glow, a powerful song of empowerment and self-belief, will entertain Disney channel audiences in the Philippines beginning Dec. 6. It is a channel initiative designed to inspire local audiences to follow their dreams and express themselves just like Sarah.

The Glow is a song that was originally created in 2011 for Rapunzel’s coronation ceremony in the animation film Tangled. It was performed by British singer Shannon Saunders and became widely known as “the global Princess anthem.”

Other than in the Philippines, the song has been interpreted by singers in Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia in the local language.
