New twists in Elementary Season 3

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The third season of Elementary is brimming with uncertainty after the dynamic duo, Holmes and Watson, parted ways. Holmes returns to New York with a new apprentice and a renewed interest in working with the NYPD after being fired by London’s MI6. However, Captain Gregson won’t let him resume consulting for the department without permission from his former partner, Watson, the NYPD’s new go-to private investigator.

Elementary stars Jonny Lee Miller as detective Sherlock Holmes and Lucy Liu as Dr. Joan Watson in a modern-day drama about a crime-solving duo that cracks the NYPD’s most impossible cases. With the mischievous Sherlock Holmes now running free in New York solving crime, he’s going to need someone to keep him grounded, and it’s elementary that it’s a job for Watson.

Miller first gained international attention with his performance as the drug-addicted punk Sick Boy in Danny Boyle’s drama Trainspotting, with Ewan McGregor. In 2012, he appeared in Tim Burton’s Dark Shadows opposite Johnny Depp.

Liu has had great critical and commercial success in film and on TV and  Broadway. In 2012, her films included The Man with the Iron Fists, co-starring Russell Crowe.

Liu joined the cast of the critically-acclaimed TV series Southland in Spring 2012, playing Police Officer Jessica Tang.
