Jeepney TV honors Ryan Ryan Musikahan

MANILA, Philippines - In celebration of its second anniversary, Jeepney TV, dubbed as the home of throwback Philippine TV shows, recently held a concert in tribute to the iconic musical program of the ’80s, Ryan Ryan Musikahan at the Rockwell Tent in Makati City.

Ryan Ryan Musikahan was a popular musical show of Maestro Ryan Cayabyab which showcased a variety of musical genre to the Filipino household. The show premiered in 1988 after ABS-CBN’s re-launch following the EDSA People Power Revolution and has garnered critical success.

With the show’s re-airing on Jeepney TV in 2012, Ryan Ryan Musikahan has appealed to a new generation of viewers and has recaptured the hearts of its loyal fans. The musical show’s memorable episodes are being aired every Monday at 7 a.m. 

Jeepney TV revives the Ryan Ryan Musikahan with a Christmas special titled, Ryan Ryan Musikahan: Home for Christmas on Dec. 14, 8 p.m.

Musical director Gerard Salonga will participate in the concert and the members of the OFY (Orchestra of the Filipino Youth).

Jeepney TV is available on SkyCable Channel 9 and other leading cable systems nationwide.
