MANILA, Philippines - The Christmas season officially started at premier integrated resort, Resorts World Manila (RWM) as it launched yesterday the longest yuletide celebration in the country, Grand Fiesta Manila 2014.
RWM executives, guests, and revelers lit up the 30-foot centerpiece Christmas tree and one of the largest indoor parols in the country during ceremonies held at the integrated resort’s The Plaza in Newport Mall.
With the theme Festival of Stars symbolizing light and hope for the Filipino people, Grand Fiesta Manila 2014 promises to be another six-week marathon of exciting events from November 14 until New Year’s Day with star buskers greeting guests and chorales performing Christmas carols daily. Also not to be missed are the indoor light parades and giant parol shows on weekends showcasing the true ‘Pinoy Paskuhan’ ambiance.
Grand Fiesta Manila 2014 is considered to be the longest yuletide celebration in the country with a lineup of exciting events; world-class entertainment, and concerts from Hi-5 House Hits, Bamboo, and the return of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert; food galore, shopping and movie offerings; art exhibits with Pinoy Ultimate Jeepney or PUJ Awards; toy fairs from Megaworld Lifestyle Malls and Funko Pop; a Christmas village; wholesome fun for the whole family such as the movie premiere of the Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part I, a Star Cars exhibit featuring model cars from films like Iron Man and The Transformers; and multiple parties like the All-Star Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve Countdown which culminates the Grand Fiesta celebrations.
