10 reasons why life is good

DIRECT LINE - Boy Abunda - The Philippine Star

Life is good! We know it is but what’s interesting is, sometimes we need to be reminded of it so often for us to actually embrace it. This makes LG Electronics’ pitch powerful.

LG Electronics (LG) has come a long way since it was established in South Korea in 1958. It has now emerged as one of the global leaders in mobile innovation. In the Philippines, LG started in 1988.

Raechelle Montalbo, LG Mobile marketing manager, explained LG’s mantra, “It is our brand’s promise of delivering innovation that makes our consumers smile, that makes our customers feel their value by keeping them inspired and empowered.”

I asked Raechelle why she says life is good. Here are her 10 reasons:

1. I have a loving and caring family who has always been supportive of me and my goals.

2. I’m happy to have met the man of my dreams and we’re getting married next year.

3. I’m in a company who shares my values of making people smile and making them appreciate life.

4. I’m working with a bunch of people who I just don’t consider as officemates, but a big family.

5. I’m just blessed to live day by day surrounded by wonderful people.

6. Because life is full of unlimited opportunities. It’s just a matter of taking a shot and launching your life further.

7. Because it’s full of surprises, and you never know what will happen each day. These surprises and changes make life exciting.

8. Because it’s fun living and chasing after your dreams.

9. Because it’s very fulfilling when you inspire people day-by-day

10. Because life in itself is good. And you can do whatever you want.

Taking its young and vibrant consumers to mind, LG has always tapped basketball superstars as its brand ambassadors. Among these gifted players are LG Mobile Philippines ambassador, Ateneo Blue Eagle Kiefer Ravena, who was named University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 77 Most Valuable Player (MVP), and LG’s sponsored team in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the San Beda Red Lions, that recently won its fifth consecutive basketball championship.

Being an LG ambassador, Kiefer also shared 10 reasons why for him life is good:

1. I have my family with me.

2. I’m still playing the sport that I love.

3. I’m surrounded by good people.

4. I have a great partner in life.

5. I have so much blessings from the Lord.

6. I have good grades.

7. I’m happy with everything that I have.

8. God blessed me with great health this season.

9. I have one more year to get a championship for Ateneo.

10. LG has provided me with technology that definitely makes my life good and easier.

Kiefer took home the highly-coveted MVP crown. The basketball superstar clocked in 77.64 statistical points this UAAP season. He rallied 21.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 5.6 assists per game. “It feels great to be named MVP. But as we all know, we fell short of our real goal, which was to win a championship. But I also shared this award with my teammates, coaches, and our management as a symbol of our hardwork.”

Kiefer only has good words about his LG family and its high-tech gadgets. “LG has been with me from the start of their L series campaign and it’s been fun working with my LG family. With its products, I enjoy its one-of-a-kind features. Knock back, QuickNote, Qremote, its super HD screen and a lot more. It’s just so fun and easy to use. No wonder it’s the smartest of all smartphones.”

As a hard-court hero, what advice can he give the youth on how they could enjoy their life? “Just enjoy. We know what we want in our lives, we just have to enjoy it and know our limits.”
