MANILA, Philippines - Piolo Pascual doesn’t think John Lloyd Cruz feels bad about his upcoming film with Sarah Geronimo.
The love team of John Lloyd and Sarah has been a "click" among Filipino movie fans as proven by their films “A Very Special Love,” “You Changed My Life,” and “It Takes a Man and a Woman.”
“Nah, it’s not up to us. I don’t think Lloydie will feel bad because he’s not paired with Sarah,” Piolo said in an interview on Thursday.
Reports came out that John Lloyd felt bad that his supposed film with Sarah didn’t push through because of her upcoming movie with Piolo.
“Trabahador lang din kami, artista lang din kami, gagawin namin kung ano mga nire-request. Labas naman kami do’n,” he added.
Meanwhile, Piolo expressed his excitement to work with the Popstar Princess. Although they have an 11-year age difference, the Kapamilya actor trusts Star Cinema’s judgment.
“Alam n’yo naman ang Star Cinema, kapag alam nilang 'di magwu-work, bakit pa nila ipe-pair, 'di ba? So I think they know better, so pupunta na lang ako doon para magtrabaho. I'll just give my best.”
His movie with Sarah is initially planned to be a Valentine’s Day offering. Though there might be changes due to the Kathryn Bernardo-Daniel Padilla movie, and the international film “Fifty Shades of Grey.”
Piolo doesn’t mind moving the play date of the film.
“I’d rather prioritize na matapos nang maayos kaysa may deadline,” he said. “Ayokong nagmamadali sa pelikula kasi nagkaka-stress, nakaka-pressure. Magsa-suffer ang quality, not for anything, but mas maganda na ‘yong napapaganda pa na may oras pa."
“So kung hindi na umabot, it’s not about the play date anyway. Basta may maganda kang pelikula it doesn’t matter kailan ipapalabas.”
