Isabelle de Leon prioritizes career over love life
MANILA, Philippines — Isabelle de Leon puts love on hold to prioritize her career.
"Iniisip ko lang din po na 'yong mga opportunities na ganito, kailangan talagang focused ka, [one] hundred percent ibigay mo sa job," she explained in an interview on Thursday.
"Kasi hindi naman po lagi na 'yong mga opportunities na ganito, e, darating sa akin. So I just have to take every opportunity, ibigay 'yong best ko. Choice ko rin naman po 'yon."
The 20-year-old actress-singer said she'll only enter a relationship when "emotionally ready na ako. At saka if 'yong career ko rin sa tingin ko, e, handa na ako na may panibago akong character na tatanggapin sa buhay ko."
Meanwhile, she's set to star opposite Ken Anderson in "Wattpad Presents Diary ng Hindi Malandi, Slight Lang" which will start airing on November 10.
Isabella will play the role of Pipay, a teenager who have hygiene problems and is in love with campus hearthrob Prince Leroy.
Aside from bring laughter, Isabelle hopes their show will make viewers realize, especially the teens, that "ang true love wala sa panlabas, nasa kalooban ng tao 'yan."
