‘I Do’ Power Couples on why they deserve to win
MANILA, Philippines - Two couples are battling in ABS-CBN's reality show, "I Do," to make their dreams come true: to tie the knot in a grand wedding.
Power couples Jimmy and Kring and Chad and Sheela are in for the grandest wedding prize: a honeymoon package, business package worth P1.5 million, home appliances, P1 million cash, and a house and lot.
Aside from these prizes, the winning couple also won a rare chance for a free training on marriage as they were prepared for the big decision throughout the reality show's first season.
Throughout the show, the nine couple-contestants, were given challenges and advises from marriage counsellors. The show's host, Judy Ann Santos, also helped them to get to know each other more and made them realize if they’re really ready for the married life.
During Tuesday's episode, the remaining two couples sere asked if they’re willing to open to the public their lives even after the competition.
Kring answered: “First boyfriend ko po siya, blogger po ako, writer po ako for a long time. Noong maging kami, the next day nagbukas ako ng blog, mykoreanboyfriend.com. Umpisa pa lang po kino-chronicle ko na po ‘yong kuwento namin, ‘yong journey namin.”
She added: “we’ll be very willing to share our lives. It has been an honor to share our story to the people, siguro may dahilan si universe. SIguro may purpose po bakit nagging public ‘yong love story namin at the very start.”
Sheela echoed Kring's willingness to share their married life to the public. “Utang na loob namin sa kanila ‘yon [na manalo]. Kaya siyempre ise-share namin sa kanila.”
Since the show is about to end on November 8 and the grand wedding happening on November 15, the Power Couple were asked why they deserve to win the competition.
Jimmy spoke for him and Kring saying that they are the couple who really represent what the competition is all about.
“I believe that everyone who joined deserve to get married. Pero kami po, I believe we are the product of I Do because we started from the bottom two, now we’re able to be on the top two. After a lot of activities, a lot of tension, it made us grow,” Jimmy said.
Sheela was supposed to speak for their team, but she got emotional so Chad had to take over.
“[Naniniwala kami] na nire-represent namin ‘yong ordinary couple na nangangarap na tulad namin [ng memorable na wedding],” he said.
