Camille on marriage: Not soon

Honey Orio-Escullar - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Even if Camille Prats’ love life has turned rosier after going through a trying stage in her life, it is not an indication that she’s ready to get married again.

Napapag-usapan naman but not anytime soon,” the Kapuso star told the media at a recent presscon wherein she was launched as the latest brand ambassador for Tiger Energy Biscuit. She was accompanied by her six-year-old son Nathan.

According to Camille, she and boyfriend John Yambao haven’t seriously discussed the matter yet. Camille believes that her brother John Prats, who is now engaged to Isabel Oli, should go first, especially since the couple is planning to wed next year.

John is Camille’s first serious relationship after she lost her late husband Anthony Linsangan to nasopharyngeal cancer in September 2011. John lives in the US (a green card holder) and works in the medical field.

Asked if she’s open to having another child, she replied, “Hindi pa pwede. I have to get married and start a family before thinking of having (more) kids.”

As a single mom, Camille finds it challenging  raising a son and she doesn’t want to take any chances. She believes in giving Nathan the best in everything, to make sure that he gets the most out of his growing-up years.

“Every day I get to spend with Nathan is a blessing that’s why I make sure that every day of his life contributes to his growth as a person. We make the most of our days together by spending time to bond and enjoy life. More importantly, I make sure every day is a chance to become alisto with the activities we do and the food that he eats. Just like Tiger Energy biscuit, the snack and baon I give him to help provide nutrients in every bite.”

Camille, who visibly enjoys juggling her showbiz career and mommy duties, also finds joy in managing Divine Angels Montessori in Cainta, Rizal, the school she and her brother John put up several years ago. Recently, she bought a franchise of the Galileo Enrichment Learning Program, Inc., an after-school program that addresses the supplementary education needs of young learners.
