MANILA, Philippines - Iya Villania is again a Kapuso after signing an exclusive contract with GMA network on Wednesday.
Iya started in GMA's teen-series “Click” and stayed in the network for one year until she decided to move to ABS-CBN in 2004. After 10 years, she decided to become a Kapuso talent again.
“It's gonna be a huge change, but I guess change is the only permanent thing in this world,” Iya said in an interview with a news site. “And it's always nice to make new friends. That's what I'm looking forward to.”
Iya also denied that her husband, Drew Arellano, who has always been a talent by GMA, was the reason why she transferred.
“I wouldn't say he's a huge part as to why I've decided to come back,” she said. “But of course, he knew all about this. When we were negotiating and when I was coming to terms with coming back here, siya talaga ‘yong kausap ko. For him being the reason why I transferred, no.”
Iya said she’s now excited with what GMA is planning for her career. She’ll be part of the Sunday variety show “Sunday All Stars” while her teleserye is still being planned.
