MANILA, Philippines – Although she plans to have a baby a year or two after her marriage to fiancé Yan Asuncion, Yeng Constantino revealed she is ready to have kids in case God gives her the “blessing” of having a child.

Speaking to reporters during the press launch for her concert with Rico Blanco and Gloc-9 titled “ICON: The Concert” on Tuesday, the 25-year-old singer said their plan is to have a baby until after her 10th anniversary in the music industry. She will be celebrating her 8th year in showbiz this year.

But Yeng is prepared in case she does get pregnant before the schedule she set for herself. The “Hawak Kamay” singer adds she's already reading parenting books as early as now.

Yeng also said: “Sabi nga sa Bible, biglang naging preachy, every kid or every child is a blessing.

Asked how many children she and Yan want, Yeng said they hope to have three girls in the future.

Girl ang gusto niya talaga,” Yeng said. “Feeling ko gustung-gusto niya 'yon.”

Yeng, who got engaged last March, is all set for her upcoming wedding on February 2015.

The two will go to Maldives and the United States for their two-week honeymoon.

The ABS-CBN artist quipped she already started preparing for her wedding the night after her boyfriend Yan proposed to her.

Her upcoming concert with Rico Blanco and Gloc-9—scheduled on November 21, 8 p.m. at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City—is one of her ways to make the most out of her time before getting married.

Will her music career return on back swing after her wedding? “Tuloy pa rin, kung mahal pa rin ako ng mga tao, if they stil want to see me on TV or recording,” Yeng said.

Is she scared that getting married would have an adverse effect on her music career? “Wala akong fears. Sabi nga, perfect love thrives out here. Wala akong takot.

She added, “There's so much that you can do.

Yeng also said she sees herself as a producer or discovering and helping out new artists in case her music career does not pan out after tying the knot.

However, she assures her fans, “I won' stop making music. Hangga't mahal n'yo po ako, I will still be here writing songs and singing songs.”
