Angelica Panganiban: Respect is important

Joyce Jimenez - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines- Angelica Panganiban said respect is the most important lesson she learned in love.

“Wala pa rin ata, hala ang tanga sobra,” she said jokingly, in an interview with Boy Abunda in “Aquino & Abunda Tonight” on Monday.

On a more serious tone she said, “Sa love parang wala namang tamang... siguro may matututunan ka, di ba?

Since she has been in a relationship with John Lloyd Cruz in 2012, the public had been watching their relationship closely.

The Kapamilya actress is not bothered by this, however.

Although they're two big personalities, Angelica and John Lloyd manage to keep their relationship low key.

“As much as possible Tito Boy, lagi niyang sinasabi 'yon sa akin, 'parang sana kung ano 'yong atin, 'wag na lang natin i-share,'” Angelica said.

Meanwhile, Angelica is busy promoting her film “Beauty in a Bottle” where she stars with Angeline Quinto and Assunta de Rossi. It will be in cinemas starting October 29.

Since Angelica has been in the industry for 21 years now, she was able to work with different people and have been in controversies that tested her as a person and as an actress.

Yet just like with love, Angelica said that respect for others is the most important lesson she learned in the industry.

“Feeling ko dapat Tito Boy hindi mo minamata ang kahit na sino maliit na tao, malaking tao,” she said. “Kasi at the end of the day, mas importante, mas nakakataba ng puso 'yong sasabihin nila, 'ay, nakatrabaho ko na 'yan, masarap katrabaho 'yan.'

So importante talaga 'yong ugali ng isang tao.”
